Your Beliefs

“You are given the gift of the gods. You create your reality according to your beliefs. Yours is the creative energy that makes your world. There are no limitations to the self except those you believe in.” Seth

Dear Ones,
One of my greatest joys in life is to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds. There is such a beauty and richness in diversity! And with different backgrounds and cultures come also different beliefs…Beliefs really fascinate me…They are so powerful, as you can only create your life within the boundaries of your beliefs. And the important thing to know about beliefs is that they perpetuate themself, they reinforce themselves as what you believe to be true will manifest over and over in your life. So if you for example believe that life is hard, you’ll attract situations which will give you numerous confirmations of your “truth” and you’ll feel more than justified in concluding once again  “I told you so!”

A real turning point in anyone’s life and an unmistakable sign of awakening is recognising that you are not your thoughts, and so you are not your beliefs either. Truly understanding that you don’t have to identify with every thought crossing your mind will naturally reconnect you to your innate power and to your true identity. A pure awareness…The witness observing the thoughts…And you’ll start recognising that you can trace all your thoughts to two major sources – love and fear. Any thoughts coming from love are life affirming, connective, expansive, manifesting more joy, happiness and abundance. Any thoughts coming from fear are contracting your life experience further, creating – often a very vivid – illusion of separation, lack, limitation, and suffering.

Now it’s good to know that you already have some momentum going on regarding your thoughts, which can often translate into the feeling that your thoughts are thinking you and not the other way round. To learn to navigate in this vast ocean of thoughts (reflected into your feelings) is certainly a skill requiring some practice. And from my experience so far unless you make a decision, a real and sincere commitment to do that, it won’t happen. You’ll just drift in this sea of unconscious beliefs passed to you by your family, your nation, your culture, your religion and your life won’t change that much. Maybe different places, different faces, but essentially the same life experience.

But I don’t think you would read these words if you wouldn’t desire a positive change. So if it is so and especially as we are now in this gift-giving season, give yourself one of the most wonderful gifts, a gift of self-awareness and with it a gift of liberation. Make a sincere commitment to yourself to become familiar with what your most dominant thoughts, feelings and moods are. How do you speak? What are the most common things you say? How do you act? And how do you react to certain situations? This all reveals what you believe to be true. Then write down every little discovery you make about yourself.

What are those beliefs running your life? Are they coming from love or fear? Do you want to continue them or are you ready to let them go now? Who do you want to be? What behaviour do you want to demonstrate? Write it down too. And last but not least remember awareness is not synonymous with judgement, so make all your discoveries about yourself from a place of openness, curiosity, self-love and self-appreciation. Knowing that you are doing something not many people are doing…And in bringing the light of awareness into your life you are naturally bringing it to the collective too…And for that you are deeply appreciated by all life…So thank you, beautiful forever loved soul.
