“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” Rumi
Dear Ones,
your true nature is pure joy…Once you realise that ultimately you are not the mind and you are not the body, but the eternal infinite being, this inner innate joy becomes more obvious, more tangible to you. To the mind it might even sound the same, when I say you HAVE a mind and a body, but you are not them. So instead of analysing this, just take a deep breath, relax into your heart and let the truth resonate there…
If you overly identify with your mind and body, the suffering is inevitable. Your mind (ever changing thoughts and feelings) and body are often described as the ego, the illusion of the separate self. The more we identify with the ego the more we suffer. The more we identify with the eternal self, the pure consciousness, pure awareness, the changeless witness, the more we experience a real lasting happiness and joy. And so which would you choose?
We’ve been all conditioned to identify with the ego. But that really is like walking through a minefield…As the ego takes everything personally, endlessly seeks approval or validation, judges, compares, criticises and the list goes on and on…The eternal infinite being that you really are is the complete opposite of this. S/he is easy, relaxed, wise, loving, free, knowing her/his innate value unquestionably, lives and lets live, smiles easily, laughs easily and doesn’t take her/himself too seriously.
Your true nature also feels deeply connected to others as s/he knows that the same awareness, the same pure consciousness is within everyone. And so the saying what you do to others you do to yourself is not just a sentiment. It’s literally like that as there is only one infinite being, manifested as many only on the surface of the creation. Once the majority of people truly understands this, the wars and conflicts in the world will no longer be possible.
Everything starts with you…So do you feel inspired to join this quiet revolution and fully embrace the eternal infinite limitless being that you are? It’s so much more simple than the mind might tell you. Just take a deep breath and notice the sacred changeless witness within, that which is aware of everything happening within and all around you right now….The awareness noticing the sounds, the objects around you, your thoughts and feelings arising and dissipating, your own heartbeat and breath right now…Just relax into it. Invite it into the foreground, as you are gently broadening and softening your focus…Can you let go and allow your true nature to take over “the steering wheel”? Can you feel the joy arising?
I look forward to meditating with you on Zoom!
Lots of love,
