Forgiveness

“The distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” Albert Einstein

Dear Ones,
I have an intuitive mind and so often I know things without knowing why. And never I felt so clearly that time is not what we have een told it is. There is a difference between how things really are and how we perceive them or experience them to be. And so many physicists are telling us that linear time is not real and everything is happening in the now. Our brain might interpret it as past, present and future and create a connection between them, but that doesn’t mean that this is the actual structure of reality.

Energetically, as totally sovereign beings we are fresh and new at any given moment. We are pure potential. And so although we’ve been taught to believe that our past determines who we are right now, we don’t have to buy into that belief any longer. And if we reach that depth and clarity of this understanding, the so far believed impact of the past naturally falls away instantly.

But if we can’t see so clearly yet, there are many tools on how we can release the influence of the past or more accurately the belief in the influence of the past. And one of the most common one appearing in many spiritual traditions is forgiveness.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that we say that what happened to us was OK. It is rather a recognition that if we harbour any negative feelings or resentment toward someone or something in our past it only influences our present well-being and so ultimately it is us who we punish and keep in prison. These negative and often suppressed feelings can manifest in a wide variety of ways from body illness to misery in any area of our lives. Additionally, unless we resolve these suppressed feelings our unconscious mind will attract situations and people which will trigger the same feelings over and over again – not to punish us but to help us to finally look at those feelings and release them once and for all.

And so as we are closing this year which might have presented many challenges to all of us, let’s give ourselves the beautiful gift of forgiveness. Whoever we need to forgive, whether it is ourselves or others (in my experience usually both are needed), when we can do it, we give ourselves also a gift of freedom, lightness and a renewed love of life. As unforgiveness is a heavy burden to carry and most of all an unnecessary one. It is also a symbolic time to release the past, as with forgiveness we give ourselves a clean new slate for the new year 2022.

And so are you ready to forgive, dearest One?

Lots of love,

Jana
