Meditation ThemesJoyUpdated on January 27, 2022January 27, 2022 Janalovinglife Make peace with the universe. Take joy in it. It will turn to gold. Resurrection will be now. Every moment, a new beauty.” Rumi Dear Ones,Although most of us have been conditioned into believing that we can feel joy only if we have “a reason for it”, when something good is happening in our lives, the truth is joy is always within us as it is our true nature. So the only thing we really have to do is to reconnect to it. No one seems to know it more than children. Until they too get conditioned by well-meaning adults into believing that life is a serious business, they can be delightfully carefree and joyful no matter what is happening around them. It’s like they are still very tangibly in touch with the truth of who they are – eternal, infinite and free, knowing that ultimately nothing can go wrong. It’s like they still carry the memory of unconditional loving and supportive Source and Angels in their heart. Some of them often blending the earthy and spiritual in creative ways even have “invisible friends” they still talk to. Without doubt there is beauty, perfection and gifts in every stage of our lives. But if we can keep the inner child happy and alive all our life, we’ll always have joy and consequently experience more ease and well-being. To me reaching maturity and aging well means returning to the joy and innocence once again. The innocence of the mature one certainly has a different quality than that of a child. Undeniably we’ve been through some trials and tribulations of life but consciously chose not to be bitter or cynical but still to see the good in everyone and everything. We don’t assume arrogantly that we now have answers to all questions, but instead choose to stay open-hearted, open-minded and still curious to learn more about ourselves and life, knowing that the adventure of our journey never really ends. We are not perfect, but already know that no one really is, so it’s not something we struggle with any more. We consciously choose to stay in the present moment rather than worrying about the future or regretting the past, so we no longer miss the unrepeatable magic of everyday life. We’ve just lightened up a little and our hearts are full of joy…I look forward to meditating with you.Lots of love, Jana xx
