The Power of Being Grateful

Dear Ones,

As you might have already noticed, gratitude and appreciation are themes we often focus on together in our meditations. And I am sure you’ve already experienced the immense beneficial effect such focus brings. We literally expand what we give attention to, both the positive and the negative. And so when we focus on the blessings and gifts already present in our lives we expand them further.

This doesn’t mean to be in denial. Seeing the truth and acknowledging the truth is important as we navigate our manifested reality. But if we want to move forward in the most joyful and satisfying way we need to look where we are going and focus on the desired destination:  Like artists, sculptors or magicians we have the ability to constantly reshape our reality.

And so seeing clearly the things as they are is an important step but only the first step. Far too often we get stuck here and especially if life is not as we would like to have it, we can get stuck in doubt, discouragement, worry, complaining or criticizing the current state and in doing so we perpetuate it further. Unnecessarily. The manifested reality is much more malleable than most of us were conditioned to believe: Nothing stays the same and the change is the only constant.

If our reality stays in an unsatisfying and unfulfilling way for a prolonged time, we can be sure that we are stuck in an unhelpful perspective, belief or thought pattern as everything in our lives starts there. Life itself is the best teacher for all of us and like a magnifying mirror reflects back to us our most dominant beliefs whether we are aware of them or not. And when we pay attention to life, we start feeling immense gratitude for this reflection as at this point of human evolution we can be easily unaware of the inner landscape of our beliefs, thoughts and feelings running our lives.

And so, dearest One, no matter where you are on your sacred journey called this lifetime, know that you always have power to change everything for the better – both in your personal life and in the greater world community. So never underestimate your innate power and instead use it wisely. One of the easiest ways you can do so is to be grateful and appreciative for the good already present in your life. If you feel inspired, take time today and everyday to answer the following question: What are you most grateful for right now? And then let your heart answer it, not just your mind. Allow gratitude and appreciation to expand your heart further than ever before and watch the magic unfold…

I look forward to meditating with you.

Lots of love,
Jana xx
