Dear Ones,
We live in the world of duality, the positive and the negative, yin and yang, light and dark. And we can also feel the opposing forces within our own psyche. One of the gifts of meditation is that we become increasingly aware of both of what’s happening within and without.
When we see that we can observe both polarities we realise we must be witnessing them from a higher perspective. And so we discover this neutral observer within. It is like we are watching a drama played on the stage of life but we are not actively engaged with it.
We experience how healing this neutral point of view is. It naturally connects us to the unity consciousness, to Source and to the truth that everyone and everything belongs to existence and is an expression of the Divine.
This doesn’t mean that we call something positive when it’s objectively negative but when we approach anything from this unity consciousness, from this neutral point of view and then take inspired action towards the positive we don’t drain our energies through unnecessary and often endless battles.
What we resist persists and so pushing against anything makes it just come closer to us and often with even greater intensity. On the contrary, we experience that when we embrace something as it is, it is already starting to change towards the positive. So we make a profound discovery that changing reality and transformation is a more alchemical process rather than just push and pull or trying to control by manipulating external situations.
This alchemical process is at its most potent when we first apply it to ourselves. Most of us have been brought up with some degree of judgement. Whether we just experienced a little bit of judgement or whether our conditioning went quite far and we were brought up to be a “good girl” and early on learned to judge certain aspects of ourselves, at this point of human evolution there are not many of us who experienced only unconditional love in our first years on this planet.
The result of this conditional love and upbringing often is that we live with inner conflict. We approve of certain qualities and push against, suppress, deny or repress other aspects of our psyche. And so when we finally discover self-love and radical self-acceptance it is often quite revolutionary for us and our healing journey.
We experience that when we fully accept an aspect of ourselves, perhaps something we are used to thinking of as our flaw or weakness, we heal it, we transmute it. This can be quite astonishing at first as we’ve been always taught to do the opposite, to battle and push against it only realising that this way it never went away or diminished. And now by fully embracing it as it is we are experiencing the living truth that love heals and acceptance transmutes the lower energy into higher.
When we fully understand the power of this inner alchemy we are no longer at war with ourselves. And when we are no longer at war with ourselves we are no longer at war with anything or anyone external.
This doesn’t mean that we no longer have a natural preference, wishes or vision for our personal lives and also the world community. But it certainly means that we learn to witness life from this neutral observer point and no longer drain our energy through engaging with dramas, both internal and external. And as a natural consequence we have more energy and can see many possibilities of how we can create something positive in our lives and also positively contribute to the world at large.
And so, dearest One, are you ready to be the one who chooses love over judgement, first within and then without? Are you ready to choose peace within and without? There is no better time than now…
I look forward to meditating with you.
Lots of love,
Jana
