Letting Go of Thinking

Dear Ones,

Most of us have been conditioned to think far too much. And so consequently we often don’t experience the world as it is, in its immediacy but through the lens of the stories our mind constantly creates about everything and everyone. But “just” being present with everything and everyone is a very different way of living. It’s not only a more true and authentic way but also a more grounded and joyful way.

Meditation is definitely one of the most powerful tools as in meditation we are learning just that – being present with ourselves. We learn to go beyond the thinking mind and relax into our pure being. And for most of us it is a very welcomed rest!

We realise that we can still perceive everything from this higher perspective of pure being. We can see our mind too, our thoughts, often repetitive, recycling themselves and running in circles. This observation is truly liberating, just the immediate experience that ultimately we are not our thoughts is a reason for celebration. Inner peace and joy which emerges naturally in those moments is then truly like balm.

It is exhilarating to experience the world without the mind constantly labeling everything, without any judgement. And one of the wonderful realisations we make is that no matter how brilliant our thinking mind might be, this pure beingness we ARE is not only blissful, joyful but also supremely intelligent. We know things without knowing how or why. It’s like now we are connected to the universal mind and can access any information. Although everything has its own place and that includes our physical mind, our current society’s conditioning makes most of us think excessively which only creates chaos and restlessness within us and consequently depletes our energy. When we overly identify with our thinking and the stories of our mind we soon lose our natural inner clarity too. And so for most of us the remedy for this is quite simple: We only need to allow our pure being more often and more regularly.

This is not only beneficial for our overall well-being but it’s also incredibly practical as the best ideas, insights and truly progressive direction always comes from this space of our pure being. And if this was always true it is even more true now. I sense that in the next decade life for all of us will change enormously. I sense we will encounter a new world we can’t even imagine right now. And in this new world our old thinking mind with old ideas won’t be much help to us as the old outdated ideas won’t apply any longer.

But when we learn to trust the present moment, the pure beingness, it will guide us unmistakably one step at a time. We will be able to flow with life and all the changes naturally and effortlessly. We’ll receive new brilliant ideas and insights in perfect divine timing and perfect divine ways. Simply put, when we are present with life, life gives us many presents.
And so, dearest One, are you ready, to let go of thinking? Just for now, just for a few moments, can you just be?
