Self-Love

“Loving yourself isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present, patient, and profoundly kind to your own becoming.” Sage

Dear Ones,

Those of you who have meditated with me for years now, know that I revisit Self-Love meditation often. The reason is that this is such a powerful theme reflecting into all aspects of our everyday life. And not many of us were taught how to love ourselves unconditionally mainly because our well-meaning parents and teachers didn’t know the secret of true self-love either.

Even today self-love is often misunderstood. The most common worry being that it’s selfish. But true unconditional love naturally knows the right measure and knows how to walk the golden middle way. It can heal old wounds created in our first relationships and so it has the power to restore, heal and create harmony in all our relationships.

When we finally understand that we deserve our own love regardless of any external attributes, regardless of how we look, what we have or what we do, we are coming closer to the source of true unconditional love. When we know deep in our hearts that we bring immense value just by being authentically who we are, we naturally embrace all aspects of ourselves.

We stop comparing ourselves to others and trying to be someone we are not. We start understanding the immense beauty of our true self and we start seeing that each human face is a unique reflection of the face of God.

Then we naturally honour ourselves and the Divinity within. We respect that our inner yes really means yes and our inner no means no and we act accordingly. This new found sensitivity to our boundaries creates happier healthier relationships with everyone and everything. It creates authentic harmony and no longer just a superficial harmony or just an inch deep niceness.
We start understanding that we don’t have to control everything and everyone. In true self-love we know that we can let go and trust ourselves and this immense Love both within and without guiding us forward in life, step by step.

In self-love we can see clearly. It’s like our aura, our light becomes much brighter and shines brightly on everything and everyone, so we have more clarity and decisions happen more naturally and effortlessly as the dark cloud of self-doubt dissolves.

True self-love creates beautiful alignment with our true nature as at the core of our being we are all love and all light. And where there is alignment there are no inner conflicts and a deep peace is a natural consequence.

Finally, all above we give to ourselves in loving ourselves unconditionally we at the same time give to the whole world. Just by living our lives, just by our presence. Not only that once we truly love ourselves unconditionally we can finally love others unconditionally too but just by our own presence in the world self-love becomes more available to others: One candle light lighting all the others.

And so, dearest One, if you feel inspired join us for this week’s meditation and meditate with us on self-love and start this journey of greater and greater love. You deserve nothing less…

I look forward to meditating with you!

Lots of love,

Jana xx
