The Emergence of Your Authentic Self

Dear Ones,

Many of us are reflecting on life right now, reflecting on our own personal journey so far. I think this is not by chance as there is so much which is changing right now, both within and without. I feel we are shifting into a new reality and we are asked to leave the old outdated self behind.
Sometimes we want to rush this process of inner stillness and reflection as it is not always comfortable. When the cocoon is transforming into a butterfly it is not always easy and we often just want to stay comfortable. But once we see the great value a time of a deeper reflection can bring us we won’t feel the need to rush it.

Good things sometimes take time. When a woman is pregnant and expecting her child she knows there is nothing else she can do to speed the process. She takes it day by day embracing the changes happening within her. She knows her child will be born when s/he is ready. The same applies when our new identity is birthing. Reflective time offers a valuable opportunity to discover another deeper layer of the authentic self, bringing us closer to our truth, to the core of who we are and what our life is about. This is very valuable because living authentically means living joyfully and freely. Living authentically helps us naturally share our gifts and talents without holding back. In living authentically we effortlessly draw people, circumstances who will celebrate and enhance our authentic self further.

And so, dearest One, if you too feel guided to reflect on your life so far, allow yourself to do so with no rush. Take as much time as you need to. Be still, meditate, reflect. Reflect on past events, people and situations in your life so far. Reflect with an open heart. Reflect with an open mind. See yourself through the eyes of the Angels. Your story so far has a great value even though it might have turned out differently than you thought. There is an immense value just in you being you as you are in all stages of your life. Know that this precious reflective time can help you to understand yourself more and your journey in this lifetime. It can reveal what mattered to you then and what truly matters to you now. Maybe this changed immensely? Maybe there is an evolution of who you were, who you are and who you are becoming?

And although it can be immensely valuable to reflect on your past, know that the past can’t ever define you or describe you. You are fresh and new at every moment. You are an eternal infinite being of light and love and you can reinvent yourself again and again. Your past can’t hold you back unless you yourself assign it that power over you.

My favourite word for this emergence of the new self is allowing. We are so conditioned to work hard even on things which are very natural and happening organically. The word allowing acknowledges this natural aspect of emerging as we essentially have only two choices, either to resist it and make it more difficult for ourselves or we can choose to allow it and trust the process. Trusting that our life is unfolding exactly as it should…

I look forward to meditating with you!

Lots of love,

Jana xx
