“When you honour the light within, the whole world becomes illuminated.” Sage
Dear Ones,
As we’ve just entered Advent, the weeks leading to Christmas, you might be inspired to pause and connect to an intention guiding you gracefully through this sacred time. In many cultures Advent time is recognised as a threshold moment – the darkness before new light.
In the darkest days much is happening beneath the surface. In nature, seeds begin to stir long before they break the soil and this applies to us as well. As many of us are awakening to the truth, to the light of our true nature we often recognise that we’ve been conditioned into victimhood – we’ve been taught to give our power readily away. Whether it was to the external “authorities” or even to our own negative thoughts and beliefs, we now recognise with striking clarity that no matter how many years or even decades we’ve been doing so, now is the time to stop: Without being grounded in our own authority, without recognising our inner innate power fully we are like slaves holding onto their chains, like birds staying in the cage even though it’s already been open.
But no matter how far we each are in the alchemy of returning back fully to our inner light, the victorious return of light is inevitable both without and within. So it’s good to remember that this is not a competition – the word which belongs to the old world we are leaving behind now as we are crossing this new threshold.
And so even if you find yourself in a tender place, not seeing clearly in the darkness yet and feeling very much like a cocoon rather than a butterfly ready to spread its wings, know that all stages of our sacred remembering are equally beautiful. The soul is not blinded by the colours of our wings that it would discard that which allowed them to grow and strengthen. Everything is unfolding perfectly.
As we are now putting our Christmas lights on brightening the darkness of cold days, may they remind us that the true magic is within us. Always. Even if we can’t see it. In the moment we acknowledge and honour the light within it will grow stronger and it will light up not only our path but also those around us and ultimately the whole world.
And so if you feel inspired, dearest One, tend lovingly to your inner light not only in these weeks of Advent but always. Allow it to light up all the wonderful miracles happening all within and around you. Even with faint light you will see something you haven’t noticed before and as your light grows, more and more will be revealed to you all in perfect divine timing and perfect divine ways: Magical things, miraculous things which were always there but when they remained in the shadow you couldn’t see them.
I look forward to meditating with you!
Lots of love,
