True Liberation

The heart leads us out of limitation and into the greatness of our true nature.” Sage

Dear Ones,

Many of us have forgotten how free we truly are. As souls, we choose life on planet Earth and we choose the themes we wanted to explore in this lifetime. As part of the divine play, we then took on the veil of forgetfulness, and so we forgot that we had already made certain choices. But our freedom doesn’t end there. We keep choosing while on this beautiful planet, while in this body.

For many of us, it doesn’t feel that way. It doesn’t feel like we are choosing freely. What we are perhaps instinctively picking up is that we are allowing negative beliefs and patterns to dictate our choices. We allow ourselves to be unconscious. This often translates into the feeling that we only have one choice — the choice dictated by a limiting belief. And so the vague feeling that we are like a puppet in someone else’s hand is actually sensing our own ignorance, sensing that we are not seeing clearly what is actually happening. Not yet.

But as we chose to be here in these exciting times of transformation, the veil of forgetfulness is lifting for us. Sometimes slowly. Sometimes suddenly. We are receiving these powerful insights into our own psyche and all the dynamics in our lives. We often realise how a certain pattern started and how it became unconscious and began directing our choices. However uncomfortable these moments of clear seeing might be, they are truly gifts. As the saying goes, the worst hell is the one you don’t know you are in. And so these windows of striking truth and clarity are actually liberating us and guiding us out of a self-imposed prison of limitations into the light of a new expanded reality.

It can feel strange for a prisoner to be finally released and be in a space no longer defined by four walls and prison bars. He might be blinded by the bright midday sunlight shining on his face, he might not know straight away which direction he should walk. In a similar way, it can feel strange for us to step fully into our freedom. But this uncomfortable feeling doesn’t mean that we should retreat back into the well-known territory of the prison cell. What it might mean is being gentle with ourselves.

It might mean knowing that we are allowed to take time and fully ground our realisations of the freedom that we are. Gently and gradually, and eventually fully, we take the space in the world that is and always has been there for us. The realisation of our true nature — the vast free being that we are — might mean that we are no longer trying to fit into a small box. We allow our authentic truth to shape our world rather than trying to shape ourselves around a world that doesn’t feel true to us. We let go of the belief that this is difficult, that change is difficult. We fully let go of the belief that we are not free. One moment at a time. One day at a time. No harshness necessary. The greatest revolutions are led by the heart. The greatest revolution in our world is led by love. And freedom!

I look forward to meditating with you.

Lots of love,
