The Magic of New Beginnings

“The seed does not need to know how to become the tree; it simply follows the wisdom already alive within it.” — Sage

Dear Ones,

Conditioning is a truly interesting thing. Most of us have been conditioned to experience new beginnings with the first of September. The summer holidays ended and it was time to return to school. And so here we are, a few years or a few decades later, and while breathing the fresh September air, we suddenly start thinking: What would I like to start now?

In a way, this is connected well to the cycle of nature. The outgoing and expansive energy of hot summer days is starting to move into a more focused and introverted energy, and so it is a great time to ask ourselves these questions.

The new, the unknown, is where the growth, joy and adventure is. The evolutionary aspect of us, the ever-changing aspect of us, loves moving forward. This movement forward is not about becoming someone else, someone we are not. It is about letting ourselves naturally unfold, grow, flourish and bear fruit. Like a seed of an oak we put into the fertile ground, which doesn’t stop until it grows steadily into the majestic tree we admire so much.

Deep down, we all know which season we are in right now and what wants to unfold in our lives. We can often sense the next step of this sacred unfolding, and I feel that’s all we actually need to know because we came for adventure, and knowing too much would spoil the delightful surprises.

Being in the present moment is the key to a magical life. Being present allows us to truly listen to ourselves and to know what the next step is. And so instead of asking ourselves questions just mentally, we can first allow ourselves to be fully grounded in the heart and in the body.

I personally find the following question especially helpful: What is the greatest expression of me in this lifetime? No matter which phase of the journey of life we find ourselves in right now, I find that this question connects us to the highest path in life, to the greatest and often untapped potential of each of us.

Sometimes the answer can simply arrive as a feeling of expansion and joy; other times we might see a clearer picture of where we are going, but either way, through the question we start opening or aligning to the path our soul intended, perhaps even before we took the current incarnation. And if we have moved away from the path, this question has the potential to bring us back to it.

The soulful direction usually makes us feel more alive, joyful, expanded, passionate, interested and in the flow. The opposite is true too. If we step off the path, there might be a feeling of contraction, loss of aliveness or loss of interest, and consequently much efforting. And so our body and feelings are consistently giving us valuable clues about whether we are moving closer to our true north or further away from it.

And so, dearest One, what is the greatest expression of you in this lifetime? And what is the next step you can take towards it right now?

If you would like to take this further, join us for meditation this week as we’ll explore both questions in the gentle and supportive energy of kindred spirits and Angels.

I look forward to meditating with you.

Lots of love,
Jana 💗
