You Are Magic

“I want to be magic. I want to touch the heart of the world and make it smile. I want to be a friend of elves and live in a tree. Or under a hill. I want to marry a moonbeam and hear the stars sing. I don’t want to pretend at magic anymore. I want to be magic.” Charles de Lint

Dear Ones,
children and also adults young at heart often love stories of wizards, fairies, enchantresses and all magical beings, because they remind them of who they are…We are all powerful beings creating our reality. To whatever we give attention we give it our energy and it expands. We breathe life into it. When we withdraw attention from anything it disappears. And like a wizard has to learn her/his art of magic first we too need to understand and learn to use our immense creative powers and abilities, so that we create what we want and not the opposite. But we also have to allow ourselves to make mistakes, because like with anything else it takes practice to “get it right” and eventually master it.

In the moment we return to our true nature, magic and enchantment become our daily experience once again. As our true nature is infinite beauty, infinite love, infinite wisdom, infinite abundance and freedom, we start reflecting those qualities into the external reality and start seeing them in everyone and everything. There is lightness too, as we realise life is a dream, very convincing with all its “realness” we can touch and smell, and yet one day we’ll all awaken from it the same way as we do each morning from our night dreams. This realisation becomes our liberation, as it’s no longer that easy to get entangled and lost in the dream of life. But if we do get entangled in it again, we remember sooner and return quicker to the stability of our true nature.

We also embrace the mystery of life…As we stop constantly trying to control or figure out everything, but instead surrender to the Divine and unknown, we realise that the unknown is a perfect playground for the infinite eternal spirit that we are. Without it, there wouldn’t be an adventure and there wouldn’t be surprise and delight. Challenges of life are no longer seen as difficult problems weighing us down, but part of the game of life, opportunities for growth and deeper understanding, helping us to reveal who we really are…Wizards who will never ever lose their magic…

I look forward to meditating with you.
  Lots of love,

Jana xx
