The Power of Your Authentic Self

Dear Ones,
I believe one of the most essential things for a happy life is to stay connected to our inner truth and live in alignment with it. In other words this means fully trusting our authentic self. This sounds very simple and at its core it really is, except that the conditioning often gave us contradictory both direct and indirect messages of not fully trusting the authentic self. The degree of this pressure to depart from the natural self often depended on the time we were born, the family dynamic, cultural and societal ideas of that time. For example often, and especially for many women, there was a message quite early on to disregard the authentic self and instead please others.

We all have a personal version of this story and when we know that on the soul level we chose any challenges connected to our authenticity, we’ll feel safe to explore it further and gain more understanding of ourselves. When we love ourselves, we’ll be able to see ourselves clearly and still hold unconditional loving space for ourselves.

Part of the conditioning many of us had was comparison. As children we were often compared with our siblings and other children in the class. Depending how far from the average “normal’ we were perceived the more challenged our authentic self was. And for most of us no one told us that it’s impossible to compare ourselves with anyone else because in our supreme uniqueness we are simply incomparable and ultimately it might not serve us to measure ourselves against others. So without this knowledge many tried to fit in, only recognising sooner or later that when we abandon the authentic self we can’t ever find authentic happiness.

There is nothing more painful than trying to be someone we are not. This desn’t mean not being teachable, flexible or cooperative with others. But to be able to effectively engage with the external world we first need to be stable in our  authentic autonomous self and fully trust it. Without this stable grounding in the inner truth we won’t have the discernment when it’s good to be flexible and adaptable and when this would actually mean abandoning ourselves and acting against our core values.

And so, dearest One, if you feel inspired, fully embrace your authentic self today. Learn to trust it. Yes, especially if you are consciously on your spiritual path, there will always be a higher, more expanded version of yourself. But to be able to grow you have to always fully validate the authentic self as it is right now. Right now, at this moment. And being grounded in your true nature also helps you to be grounded in the present moment and stay in tune with the right direction of your life.

There is no one like you in the whole universe. You are incomparable. You are irreplaceable. You belong. You are an unique aspect of the Divine. You can give a very unique gift to humanity no one else can. And it only happens if you express yourself authentically. And so love yourself unconditionally. Treasure yourself. See the sacredness of your unique and authentic self. Celebrate it today and always.

I look forward to meditating with you.
 Lots of love,
Jana xx
