Making Friends With Change

Dear Ones,

As you might have noticed yourself, us human beings like to stay in the comfort zone. And yet, I am sure you would agree that if there is one word which describes well our human life experience it is the word change. We are constantly changing, whether willingly or unwillingly as long as we are on planet Earth it is impossible to escape change. And the most life-affirming approach is to make friends with change.

It’s also good to be very clear and transparent with ourselves about the reason we might, consciously or unconsciously, resist changes. And the reason is fear: Whether it manifests as lack of confidence, insecurities, clinging to the old ways, overthinking or second guessing ourselves the root is the same. And I believe that at this point of human evolution we are asked to let go of fear and start living fearlessly.

Why now? Because we are ready no matter what the thoughts of fear might have be telling you. We are blessed with much more understanding and also many tools than previous generations who often didn’t even question their fears but were living according to them. Which could be another way of describing what living in the comfort zone means.

Many of us are now recognising that our fears are not based in facts but simply in negative beliefs. And we are also awakening to the truth that those negative beliefs holding us back are not even ours. They belong to our parents and teachers and to the time, society and culture we were born into. And so finally letting them go is in fact the most natural thing to do.

And yes, those negative beliefs often created wounds within us which might cause the experience of fear over and over, so an important step of releasing our fears is to heal those wounds. Not pushing our fears away but instead to see them clearly, acknowledging them and fully embracing them is an important part of healing. When we can do so we experience our own fears being transmuted and as natural consequence we transform into a greater more expanded version of ourselves. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes or like a butterfly finally leaving the cocoon to fly for the first time, we have the constant opportunity to emerge fresh and new.

That’s in a nutshell what evolution means, fully allowing ourselves to step into a greater and greater version of ourselves. And it is actually not reinventing ourselves from scratch as this greater version of ourselves already exists within. It is our true nature, the infinite, eternal aspect of ourselves. And so this evolutionary journey is more about allowing the eternal truth of unconditional love and joy within shine so brightly that any illusion of fear melts like the last snow on the first day of spring…

I look forward to meditating with you.
Lots of love,
Jana xx
